Allie is doing well in ICU

Fran and I are in the waiting room. The nurse will call us when we can see her. We have to go in fully gowned. Allie will be heavily sedated for the next 24 hours. Surgery went very well. No sign of acute rejection or other complications. Heart is beating on its own with no assistance from a pacemaker. It is a very good heart they got for her apparently.

More later but for now we are all well.

  6. Hello Allie!
What an amazing journey you have been on and what an incredible warrior you truly are. I love that you walked the last mile to surgery!! You are a strong girl and we will all watch your next steps with thanksgiving and joy. I am praying for you every day Allie and so are hundreds of your friends and family. May the Lord bless you and keep you through these next days and weeks of healing!

    John and Fran,
I am praying for your continued strength as you move into the next chapter of healing along with Allie. We also pray for the family that gave the gift of a heart in the midst of their own sorrow. What an incredible story of giving the ultimate gift. Thanks for the blog updates.

    With much love,

I am sooo grateful to read about Allisons new heart!!!!! We are a family in Stillwater whos daughter was diagnosed with a rare heart condition called "Pulmonary Hypertension". Jadyn (my 9-year-old) also fainted a couple of times at Welch. She was in and out of hospitals this winter and is now on several meds to see if her condition can be controlled or not.

Needless to say, when I read about Allison, both my husband and I cried. We were (and are) in the thick of things with our daughter.

I so pray Gods blessings and healing on Allison and your whole family!!!!!
